Best estimate( official property records have been requested)  of ownership of Property from 1976 to 1994:

Cement plant operated by Penn-Dixie Cement.

Holnam, Inc. purchased property in 1976 as part of liquidation of Penn-Dixie assets in bankruptcy.  (Holnam, Inc. may have removed part of the actual cement plant facilities.  Holnam, Inc. name changed to Holcim (US) Inc. in 2001.  Holcim is a major Swiss corporation. )

In 1989, approximately 300 acres referred to below as Plant Property, was sold to Bay Resort Properties Limited Partnership.  CMS-Capital financed the transaction.  In 1991, CMS-Capital foreclosed after the limited partnership defaulted on the loan. 

The Property totals 756 acres, not including the 300 acres.  (Note the drawing below is far from being close to scale.)

The general partner in Bay Resort Properties Limited Partnership was Hollo, Inc.  The limited partner was Dundee Investment Company. 

Hollo, Inc. registered agent was Lawrence LoPatin.  The President of Hollo, Inc. was listed as Daniel Holloway.  The address is the same as Holloway Construction Co. with Daniel Holloway as President. 

No records were found for Dundee Investment Company on the State of Michigan website.  The address for Dundee Investment Company was  P. O. Box 122, Dundee, Michigan.  (Holnam, Inc. address was 6211 Ann Arbor Road, Dundee, Michigan. 

Bay Harbor Company, L.L.C. purchased the property from Holnam, Inc. in 1994.
